Introduction to Kayaking   (Spring-Summer-Fall 2007)

This is a comprehensive Introduction to Kayaking program specifically designed to develop a strong foundation in the Basics of White Water Kayaking.  Safety procedures, paddling strokes and the Eskimo roll are just some of the topics covered.  Each class is devided into two sessions to cover the basics. The first session is held at the MCC pool in wonderfully clean warm water.  The second session takes place at Rock Park.  Rock Park is perfectly suited for your first experience on moving water.  We start in the gentle class I rapids and progress to the more challenging class II rapids that are located on the upper course.   We are there for five hours or more so you have plenty of time to progress at your own pace.   All equipment is provided, students must be able to swim.  If you like this then you will love our SKILL BUILDING CAMPS.  Five days on continuous paddling.  We guarantee that at the end of the Five days you will realize a very significant improvement in you skills.  To register for the Intro class, fill out the From below and press the submit button.  After registering you will be contacted by phone to verify your registratilon information.  All classes start at the MCC pool on Friday evenings.
