MCC  Aquatic Center Details and brief History.

Monroe Community College Aquatic Center is our home for almost eight Months each year.  We are in the eleventh year of a very successful partnership with the Aquatic Center.  The Director of the Center is Dan Dubois.  Dan is also the head Coach of MCC's nationally known and highly respected swimming and diving team.  Dan has produced many All Americans during his tenure at the school.  

Kayak Adventures first year at the Center produced 5 students and 30 hours of pool time for the winter season.  Over the last eleven years the program has increased in popularity each year.  Presently we have over 400 hours of clinics and workshops scheduled for this season.  80% of our programs have already been booked.  By season end all available spots will be booked marking the sixth consecutive year with 100% participation.  We offer a wide variety of programs that appeal to everyone from the beginner to expert.  Scouts, families, adults, students of all ages take part in the worshops and clinics.

The MCC Aquatic Center has two pools.  One for swimming and the other is for the Diving team.  Our clinics focus in the swimming pool.  This pool is only 5 feet at its deepest end.  This offers a element of safety and comfort for the students that is not found in pools that incorporate the deep and shallow end in the same pool.
